I'm a Filipina and yet I lived in the lower part of Philippines. Davao, is where I grew up with. I'm used with their beautiful culture. Every time when August came, Davao celebrates its thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the wealth of culture and the serenity of living. Its name derives from the friendly greeting "Madayaw", from the Dabawenyo word "dayaw", meaning good, valuable, beautiful. I'd really enjoyed seeing youth, dancing and cooperating in the event. Their presentation, made me feel that Davawenyos are cool, beautiful, and happy :) Even thou the shine is up and its very hot, they still continue watching young people, dancing and presenting their works. And even its late in the night, many youth has partying and enjoying the concert by PAROKYA NI EDGAR, PUPIL, SPONGECOLA, SUGARFREE and many more. There are many celebrity who visit here, some of them are Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Iwa Moto, Boboy Villar, Gerald Anderson, and many more. I was so enjoy and I'm happy seeing Dabawenyos smiling. Madayaw Davao :)
